Republic Bank's Alice Martin and David Cullen assist preschoolers in counting coins.

Children in classrooms 503 and 202 recently enjoyed hands-on lessons in savings and spending from Republic Bank representatives. Republic Bank’s Sharon Hammel, Senior Vice President, and Daniel Keith, Assistant Vice President, read aloud Alexander, Who Used to Be Rich Last Sunday by Judith Viorst.  The children then completed worksheets relating to adding and subtracting coins.  Republic Bank’s Alice Martin, Joanne Donaldson, and David Mullen also volunteered in the classrooms.

The visits are another reflection of Republic Bank’s commitment to high-quality early learning.  Republic Bank has contributed to Children’s Village through Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC) program.  This participation in the Pre-K Tax Credit Program has benefited children enrolled in our nationally accredited Preschool Program.

Please check with Children's Village's front desk today if you haven't already signed up.  Parents cover the cost of their dinner/s, plus tax and tip.
