Children's Village Shows Up for NICU Awareness!
Wearing green helps to increase awareness of the challenges faced by NICU families and healthcare professionals alike, with the goal of expanding resources for NICUs across the country.
September 30th was Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Awareness Day and our staff showed out in green to show our support!
One of our lead teachers, Anna Pham, holds this cause close to her heart after her son spent 2 months and 3 days in the NICU. “The NICU became a place filled with uncertainty, hope, strength, and so many little victories. Watching Elijah grow stronger each day taught me a tremendous amount about love, resilience, and gratitude,” expressed Anna.
Her son is currently in our toddler program and will be celebrating his 2nd birthday and upcoming graduation from the NICU follow-up program. We are so proud that these two advocates are part of the CV community!
Because infants born prematurely are at higher risk for developmental delays, Early Intervention in high-quality infant and toddler programs like Children’s Village can help support them and their families, boosting physical and cognitive development.
